Building stronger communities doesn't just happen. It requires the efforts of many—each bringing their unique talents, insights, strengths, abilities and willingness to make a difference.
The Three Rivers Community Foundation strives to improve and strengthen its community by supporting projects that fit one of more of the following areas:
- Social, Cultural and Leisure: Enhance educational opportunities, enrich the artistic and cultural climate and increase and diversify recreational opportunities.
- Public Issues and Information: Enable thoughtful, non-partisan analysis of important community issues, particularly those that clarify and build consensus on resolving pressing community issues.
- Education and Lifelong Learning: Improve the quality, scope and accessibility of educational programming to all residents in the area.
- Human Services: Improve the quality, accessibility and efficiency of healthcare service; to positively affect housing, safety, employment and other needs of vulnerable youth, elderly and low-income people; or to lessen human suffering by building the ability of people to improve their lives.
